PHOTOGRAPHER

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Two years of successful undergraduate work with emphasis in photography;
  • Knowledge of photography and equipment;
  • Ability to work both independently and interdependently;
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to relate well to rural participants from diverse backgrounds.

  Preferred

  • Academic background or work experience in photography.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Upward Bound Photographer is a seven-week, part-time position, responsible to the Project Director for the photographic needs of the project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set pre-summer appointment with the Project Director and Office Manager for job orientation;
  • Confer with Yearbook Advisor at least weekly to identify deadlines and determine photo needs;
  • Remain aware of the master calendar in order to shoot project activities;
  • Safely transport students in University vehicles;
  • Coordinate the development of photos on a weekly basis;
  • Provide accurate end-of-program inventory of photo equipment and supplies with recommendations for future needs.
